教學內容:English around the world------Words & Expressions

教學目標:

1. Ss can read and tell the meaning of the new words and expressions.

2. Ss can find out the usage of each word by self-study and discussion.

3. Ss can basically use the new words and expressions to make sentences.

 

教學過程:

 Step I Greeting and Leading-in: 1分鐘)

T: Class begins!

Ss: Good afternoon, teacher!

T: Good afternoon, everybody. Sit down, please!

Ss: Thank you.

T: Today we will learn unit2------English around the world, after this class, I hope you can achieve the following aims.

1) Can read and tell the meaning of the new words and expressions.

2) Can find out the usage of each word by self-study and discussion.

3) Can basically use the new words and expressions to make sentences.

【評價:首先出示本節課學習目標,而且學習目標設定具體,明確:會讀并認識新的單詞和短語;會通過自學和研討找出新生詞的重要用法;會基本使用新生詞造句。這樣學生聽課過程中有的放矢,心中有數。】

T: Now, firstly, please follow me to read the new words. make use of!

 Step . Self-study  15分鐘)

T: Now, you will have 15 minutes to study by yourselves, I hope you can finish Part A andPart B during the time, please!

 [學生開始利用手頭的字典和相關書籍安靜自學探究指導書活頁上的內容。老師在學生自學過程中走下講臺悄悄關注學生在自學中生成的問題并且有意識地將問題收錄到準備的教案中,對教案進行第一次有效修改。同時學生在自學過程中出現的學習方法或者學習習慣上的缺點,老師會及時走到學生跟前予以糾正。]

【評價:學生依據教材,結合教師編寫的學習指導書(學材),明確學習重點、難點、知識點,應用學習方法,自主完成學習目標的達成;并可以在自主思考過程中生成新的學習目標、內容。老師在自學中觀察監督學生的學習行為并根據學生生成的問題調整精講的內容,使課堂精講更加有效。】

 

Step . Communicating   7分鐘   12位同學發言)

T: Ok! Time is up! I noticed all of you have finished the task, right?

Ss: Yes! (學生齊聲答)

T: But most of you have found some problems that need solving, right?

Ss: Yes! (很多學生答)

T: Ok, Now it’s your time to communicate, if you have any opinions, please stand up and share with us.

S1: 我在自學中發現make the best/most of 這個短語中沒有了use 這個詞,是真的不用加use嗎?

S2: 我查到make the best/most of 就等于make full/food use of, 所以并不是誤寫,是本來就沒有use

S3: 只能修飾可數名詞的詞匯或短語除了有many, few, a few, a number of之外,我不知道還有哪些。

S4: 有沒有同學查到the air base是什么意思?

S5: 我查到the air base是空軍基地的意思。

S6: He is more lazy than stupid.怎么翻譯?

S7: He is more lazy than stupid.可以翻譯成與其說他笨不如說他懶。

 [學生開始你一言我一語地合作研討,老師在講臺上環視所有學生的反應,傾聽發言并做好記錄對教案進行第二次有效修改]

【評價:學生針對個體自學存在的疑問、生成的新問題,采用自由研討的形式,集思廣益,相互激發思考,在一定程度上解決問題,啟迪思想。老師根據學生的問題調整精講的內容,把學習主動權還給學生,做到真正為學生解決難點,精煉講解內容,提高課堂效率。】

 

Step . Teacher’s explanation  14分鐘)

T: Just now, we had a heated discussion, now let’s learn the points together.

 

Problem1.(問題1)  The first problem you put forward is “還有哪些詞只能修飾可數名詞?

That is “many a, more than one”

eg. Many a student agrees with you.

拓展:還有哪些詞只能修飾不可數名詞?

   much, little, a little, an amount of, amounts of, a great deal of

    eg. amounts of money were stolen last night.

還有哪些詞既能修飾不可數名詞還能修飾可數名詞?

    plenty of, a lot of, lots of, quantities of

    eg. Quantities of water were sent to the disaster area.

 

Problem2. (問題2) because of 意思相似的介詞短語還有哪些?

due to/ owing to/ thanks to/ as a result of/ by reason of

 

Problem3. (問題3) more than+ 數字   多余

more than+ n.       不僅僅

more than+ adj.      非常

more than+ 句子     遠非;不能

more A than B        與其說B 不如說A

more often than not   經常

    eg. He is more lucky than clever.

 

Problem4. (問題4) come up 上來;出現;發生;被提出

  come up with 提出

  come up to 走近;過來

 

Problem5. (問題5) such asfor example

such as     多個例子     位于例子前 

for example  一個例子     位置靈活   

 

Problem6. (問題6) command/ request that sb. (should) do sth.

 

【反思:通過自學和討論,學生知道了一些單詞的基本用法,這讓老師的精講更有主次之分。教師對于前三個環節中不能解決的共性問題或重要問題,新生成問題中價值較高的問題進行了補充式講解。對于學習內容中體系性知識、普遍性方法進行了總結式講解。對于具有深遠意義的學習內容進行了升華式講解。】

    T: That’s all I need to explain, now I will give you 3 minutes to finish the exercises. Please!

T: Ok, I will choose one of you to tell us your answers.

S: ……

T: Ok, do you have different ideas?

S: ……

T: Yes, here we should say “play a role in”

T: Ok, that’s all for today, you did a good job, Our homework is ……
